There are many choices for home health care on the North Shore and in the Merrimack Valley. A family can go on the Internet or look at their local paper to try to gauge the services in their area, but how does a family choose who they should trust with home care for their loved one?
Right at Home of the North Shore and Merrimack Valley, a private home health care agency that serves seniors and their families with their home health care needs, prides themselves on their focus of community services and giving back to the community in which they live and work. This is a path that the owners have followed personally, and they try to instill that culture in the Right at Home workplace.
Jay Kenney and Rosaleen Doherty are a local Marblehead couple that has been leading Right at Home for almost 10 years. They started Right at Home on the North Shore to follow their personal and family mission. Though they needed to provide for their young children, and they had tremendous experience in the business world, they felt that called to find a profession that served the greater good, preferably their neighbors. Right at Home was born from this search for a balanced life and a life of service.
Jay and Rosaleen built Right at Home to help local seniors and their families live their lives with less stress and worry by providing trained and insured home health professionals to assist with daily tasks. Right at Home can help with the little things, like shopping or housekeeping or more personal things, like bathroom assistance and help in the shower. Right at Home opened their Haverhill location a few years ago to serve the Haverhill, Andover and Newburyport communities. Right at Home has now built a team of over 150 caregivers to help North Shore and Merrimack Valley seniors live their dream of staying at home.
Rosaleen and Jay have created solid bonds with local agencies and service organizations through the years. They are proud to work with local ASAPs like North Shore Elder Services and Elder Services of the Merrimack Valley. Right at Home is a member of the Marblehead Chamber of Commerce, the Merrimack Valley Chamber of Commerce and Rosaleen is the current president of North Shore Women in Business.
Right at Home is an active participant in the North Shore and Merrimack Valley Alzheimer’s Partnership. Howard Aronson, the Right at Home Community Relations Coordinator led a team on this year’s local Memory Walk. He is president of the Haverhill Breakfast Exchange, a local service organization serving Haverhill’s seniors and Rosaleen is Vice President of the Rotary Club of Marblehead Harbor.
Right at Home not only serves the community through their professional home health care services, they walk their talk through consistent community service. When choosing an agency, families might want to consider and agency that has service as a mission. Right at Home believes that being a local business means more than just working in the community…it is an opportunity to serve your neighbors.
